Cranberry BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ Sauce - we use Dang Southern BBQ Sauce from Hoff & Pepper

  • 1 cup of Apple Cider - FRESH is better

  • 2 cups of fresh Cranberries

  • 1/2 cup of Grade A Dark Maple Syrup

  • 1oz of your Favorite Bourbon (OPTIONAL) - high proof is better in our opinion!

  • Smoked Salt (to taste)

Cook

This recipe is adapted from Chef Tom Jackson at ATBBQ.

  1. In a cast iron skillet, or sauce pan, combine all the ingredients, mix well, and heat over medium-medium/high heat until the cranberries begin to pop/split and become soft.

  2. Using an immersion blender, or a regular blender (be careful - it’s hot!), blend until smooth.

  3. Add salt to taste.

  4. If you’d like, reduce the smooth mixture until it’s the consistency you’d like.
