Smoked Bourbon Maple Pecans

Ingredients

  • ~2 cups of Pecans

  • 1/2 cup of Dark Amber Maple Syrup

  • ~1/2 oz of Bourbon

  • Salt

Cook

  1. Mix everything together in a bowl, ensuring all the pecans are coated well. Let it sit for ~20 min, staring every 5 minutes.

  2. Using a slotted spoon to drain the pecans, spread them in a single layer on a parchment paper, or silpat, lined sheet pan.

  3. Dust with salt. Optionally, the pecans can be dusted with sugar, smoked sugar, cayenne, or any other spice.

  4. Smoke the pecans on the Traeger, running at 250°, for 20-30 minutes, until the pecans darken and become tacky.
